Rubbish!  8 days to go until it’s Christmas.  :o   I have bought a total of two presents, one of which hasn’t arrived yet.  I’ve been so busy with uni. and work that I’ve not had time to shop.  I still have lots of gifts to buy and for most cases don’t know what to get.  :S

Well, actually, I had one suggestion.  Buying a jewellery cleaner – no, not the liquid content ones, the actually mini “ultrasonic” cleaning alternative – but my brother laughed at the idea.  Saying: “Only you’d want that.”  In all fairness that is probably true but I  thought it’d be a great gift for my female cousin.  I’m not thinking about myself, honest!

Anyway, it seems as if days have passed by without my realising.  I’m just glad that tomorrow I hand in my project and go to the German Market and possibly the cinema.  It’s been a long time since I’ve watched a film on the big screen so I’m excited.  Hopefully when I get to the German Market I will get some more presents sorted.  If all fails then I’ll get everyone else:

Done.

Gosh, I’m sad.  :P

Edit@21:45 – I bought the eco-button, heh.

Eh?

What is going on?  I check my inbox and apparently I didn’t: “receive your letter” from myself?  Wha…?  How confusing.

Needless to say I didn’t open the e-mail because despite how mean I am to myself I’m not that much of an idiot.  Although I’d like to know why I would send myself a letter, that’s just a little bit desperate?  :P

I’m tired so please do excuse any nonsensical moments this post may contain.

Boy, oh boy.  I did not see this coming from a mile.  The ND course seems like a breeze compared to the HND I’m doing now.  I managed to get my projects completed before the due date the last to years.  However, this year it’s like I’m fighting to get things done.  The first semester…where did it go?  I break up this Friday and seriously can’t wait.  Not to blow my own trumpet but I have worked very hard – my dad seems to think I’ve even changed courses because I’m always working, which might also explain why my mum called me a “mule”.  Nice, isn’t it?  :P

I did have a photo of what I have done, thus far, with my bowl but being the numpty that I am I have left the image on my camera and lent my camera to my sister.  *palmface* I am putting a lot of effort into the bowl project as I wasn’t pleased with my results for the puppet, and so much effort that I’ve not been giving my design development project much work – I’m seriously lagging.  Oh and I’ve also been sitting through an hour and a half worth of THS (Theoretical, Historical Studies) lecturers each week.  I think it’s quite fortunate that it’s only an hour and a half per week.  :P

What have I learnt this semester?

  • Well, for one, my memory has gone downhill.
  • My attention span has also joined my memory.  I almost fell asleep during one lecture.  If it weren’t for my thinking about coding or storyline I’m pretty much sure my lights would have gone out.  :P
  • That I am in fact accident prone.  I have cut myself numerous times without realising and tripped up the stairs, resulting in my “communicating” finger getting cut front and back: not that I realised because I was checking where my goggle’s left side of the frame had gone. *palmface*
  • The there not only idiots on the road but also on footpaths (read: pedestrians).

Anyway, come Thursday my bowl project will be due in, then I’ll be able to sod off to the German Market with Nadia (classmate).  Whoop.  It’ll be the first time I’ve been so I’m excited.  Has anyone else been before?

How has education been treating you?  :)

Off topic but I’ve upgraded WordPress and it looks nice.  Although there seems to be a lot going on window.  I’ll have a better poke around once I’m done with uni. work.

Have to love titles which don’t really have a lot to do with the subject, heh. At the moment I am working on my second project (fourth module – confusing, I know), which is a bowl. Mines suppose to be a city in a bowl.

So since I don’t have pictures (I’ve been trying to take a good picture of the crescent moon) so I’m going to try and paint you a picture. Imagine a copper bowl, about 150mm in diameter. Got it? Now picture nickel skyscrapers, all different shapes and sizes, within the bowl. Some windows sawed out, whilst other squarely indented. Still with me? Finally, imagine the central prism skyscraper – the sawed out window side – it sits above the rest…and has an extra sparkle. Now picture it with one of the sawed out windows replaced with a gemstones. Clear cz (cubic zirconia). Bezel setting. Can you picture the whole thing now? Nope, thought my description was rubbish. :P

Anyway, I’ve only got as far as scoring out my metal, and even that’s not completely done because I’ve been trying to get the scoring machine to hold the metal steady. Turns out one of the screws were buggered. Then I waited for hand scoring tools, for what seemed like ages – I can’t blame the lecturer though because there is 32+ students in the class. Up until then I took the initiative (yes, clever me :P ) to look for other resources. Not such look but the lecturer got around to me and even sharpened the tool to suit the angles of scoring. I can see tomorrow being a day of getting angels right. I took this course in hope of avoiding maths…obviously I drank one too many bowls of herbal tea whilst filling the acceptance form. :P Haha, just kidding of course.

So many things to do and so little time (two weeks). Looks like I’m also going to have to stay late some days. Maybe I should ask Santa for a workbench, complete with tools. ;)

You see, I have a tendency to walk past people I know without greeting them. I did it again yesterday. It’s not that I’m trying to be arrogant or impolite, I just…walk past. It’s even resulted in me getting a few telling offs by my siblings but I can’t help it.

Do you have any traits which might come across as rude unintentionally?
