It’s good for friends to know of minor issues you have but for them to explain to new people the reason why their hand is not being shook is a little embarrassing…to say the least.

*After chatting for a while*

N: What’s your name?

ND2 student: *insert name1*.

N: I’m *insert friend’s name).

*They shake hands, the guy turns to me.*

N: This is Annie.

Me: (Noisy background) I just eaten with my right so you’ll have to shake the left.

N: She doesn’t touch anything without washing her hands.

I pretty much hid my face at that point.  Honestly, there was no mental questioning of the guy’s hygiene.  It’s just, after eating I have to wash my hands before I touch anything.  Feeling cleaning is top priority in my books. :D

Anyone else had a similar situation?  Feel free to share with me your stories. :)

  1. I’ve can’t remember it. :D   Oh dear, that is not like me at all. []

If you knew how often I washed my hands (not very often, to be honest) you probably wouldn’t touch me with a ten-foot-pole. :P It’s a good thing I only know you on the internet!

@Kaylee: Gosh, this post makes me sound like a hygiene lunatic. I’m really not that bad, honest. o:)
