1. When you’re watching TV and the people insist on asking questions about that episode when it’s a new one.  I’ve not been given a spoiler by the script writer so I really wouldn’t know.  Just watch.  Please.
  2. Twitter, well…not Twitter itself but more so the users.  I find it strange when people follow me, then “unfollow” a couple of days after.  It would probably just save the hassle to just skim through my tweets to make an informed decision of whether I’m worth following – probably not in a lot of cases as I mainly tweet about uni, jewellery, projects and football (here and there).  I won’t get offended, I’m even surprised I’ve got the amount of follows I currently have.
  3. Of all the colouring pencils I have there is not a single grey.  Grey is what I need to render drawings to evoke silver. -_-
  4. At the crucial times (e.g presentations, group talks…etc) I’m unable to articulate myself in an eloquent manner but when I’m with the family the words just flow like poetry.  Okay, maybe not poetry as that would be over-talking myself. >0<
  5. Relating point 4, my hands have started shaking uncontrollably when I talk in a group.  It never used to happen but has started this year.  Can anyone explain this?  I even fumble when turning pages, very embarrassing. XD

By block I mean the creativity – or rather designer’s – block.  Doing a more artistic course, sometime I leave myself in a rut; not happy with a design and unable to come up with anything better.  What I should probably do is keep plodding along sketching and not over-think my ideas.  However I find it difficult to not be clinical about my thoughts.  So, instead, I take a break and do something else, completely unrelated.

It works but the downside is it takes me a step back from the design stage.  The stage I currently find myself in.  Over the weekend I finally came up with my final designs – typically reverting back to one of my original sketches – but I know find myself with less than two weeks to complete my jewellery collection.  Due to the fact that I’m sourcing from other professionals (stone setters, rapid prototype makers…etc) I have to ask them to help me out in a short space of time.  Not ideal but hey-ho, it’s something I’m going to have to deal with in the big world of work. :S

Please keep your fingers crossed for me to get this done. :)

Which earring and ring do you think should be in my collection?

Please choose via the link above. I’m writing this post with my mobile and don’t have the pictures with me – otherwise I’d have uploaded it here – sorry about that.

Shame really.  It was nice, although I don’t know what I was thinking/reading, which led to that dream. *shrugs*

I’ve been really hit and miss with updating.  As in I start posts but don’t end up finishing them, or I change my mind and decide not to publish such drivel.  I’ve been mainly concentrating on university projects and planning my future, as personal things have been interruptive and quite frankly, annoying (verging upsetting).

Yesterday, for the entrepreneurship lecture we were going over the web and designing a website.  I enjoyed it as I got to geek-out, something I very rarely share with others because they don’t give a monkeys. :P  However, Office Live Small Business wouldn’t let me access my web folder, which is strange because it was working fine and dandy as home.  Conclusion?  University network.  Oh well, at least I had my own FTP account to work from.  :)

On another subject I submitted a CAD  piece into the Goldsmiths’ annual Design and Craftsmanship competition.  It was a last minute decision because a) I had completely forgotten about it so didn’t prepare anything, 2) basically having Wednesday (after work) and Thursday morning I didn’t think I could submit a professional looking board and 3) I didn’t consider my work good enough to enter but my friend persuaded me, like I did with her but ultimately failed.  I did it though, despite time and traffic working against me.  Don’t think I have a fudge chance in winning anything but it’s the participating that counts.  Plus, something to add onto my CV. ;)

    …escape.
