Today I went for my first eye test since primary school. Yep, the last time I had an eye test was that long ago (over 12 years ago) and that was because I had a football accidentally kicked into my eye (didn’t hurt, I was fine).
When I was sent a letter and given vouchers for a free eye test, I thought it was about time I had my eyes tested. Although I can see perfectly fine, I was a little worried that I hadn’t taken great care of my eyes. After all I read my tablet at night, I worked on my computer at night (when I didn’t have a wall lamp) and I watched TV during those too-wide-awake-to-sleep nights.
Low and behold the test today wiped away my worries. My eye sight is good – huzzah!
My eye reflexes aren’t too bad either…it took several puffs of whatever they “sprayed” to get the two readings they needed. I also took the perception test using the Oculus. No, it wasn’t the virtual reality gaming technology but it certainly felt like game. Also, the scan of my eye looked pretty cool. I would have taken a photo of it if I wasn’t too embarrassed to.
